Stakeholders

The Centre for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, known as ‘TRANSAD’, was established within the framework of Law No. 19 of 2006. It was issued by the President of UAE and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Centre works as independent body and has legislative rights to regulate the taxi & limousine sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It serves as a foundation for the smooth functioning of the transport sector by issuing mandatory licenses to taxis and limousine operators. The Centre is responsible for ensuring the sector’s safety, availability, sustainability and it regularly co-ordinates with relevant parties to protect the same.
